The Hippodrome was badly flooded during the Boxing Day floods in the Calder Valley. Thanks to the valiant efforts of our members we managed to save lots of the contents but we couldn't hold the water back. Every part of the ground floor of the theatre, including all the stalls seating, were damaged by the flood water. In the dressing rooms the water was over 4 feet deep. We'll try to keep you all informed of the works to restore and repair the Hippodrome but it is a very difficult time for us.
There will be changes to our programme as the theatre is likely to be closed for several weeks for the extensive repairs to be carried out
