Jude has always known she doesn’t want kids. Her sister Susie is unsure but aware of the ticking of the clock.
One day, in a café full of ‘yummy mummies’, Jude loses the plot and kicks a pram. Then gets arrested. Then gets sent to anger management. Susie goes along for the ride and uses the opportunity to confess a secret.
Pramkicker is a funny and touching play offering an unflinching look at what it means to be a modern woman. It was written in 2015 and ran to critical acclaim at the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It was published in 2016 to coincide with a national tour.
In the Summer of 2019 The play was restaged for the Manchester Fringe and won the coveted 'Best Revival' Award. The nominated actors are touring the show in Manchester and bringing it to the Todmorden Hippodrome for two shows on 21st September 2019. They will be joined directly after the matinee by the director for a special Questions and Answers session about the play, the production and the issues it raises.
